Vaccinations defined by the CDC is, “the physical act of administering any vaccine.” Vaccines are not a topic most people can agree on. Whether people agree or disagree with vaccines there is information that everyone should be aware of.
Over time, medicine has grown tremendously. New vaccines have developed with hopes for creating new solutions to sicknesses. The goal of vaccines is to calmly introduce your body to diseases in order to allow your body to develop an immunity to that disease.
From an early age, children are recommended to get scheduled vaccinations. Previously, states have been required to include strict laws revolving around vaccines. That is until now. In multiple states, some parents are allowed to exempt their children from vaccinations due to their medical, religious, or personal beliefs.
In September, Florida’s head Surgeon General announced that the state will begin eliminating mandatory vaccine laws. Florida would be the first state to incorporate these rules. The vaccines they focus on are Hepatitis B, Chickenpox, Haemophilus influenzae b (Hib), and Pneumococcal conjugate. As time goes on, more and more states are likely to convert to similar matters.
That being said, I find non-mandatory vaccines absurd. New aids of the government supply untrue facts about vaccinations.
The leader of the Health Care System in the US is Robert F. Kennedy. Kennedy has spread misinformation and hate towards vaccines for years. He even has absurd conspiracy theories.
For example, he has speculated that vaccines lead to autism, which has never been proven. Instead of focusing on the scientific facts, he concludes his own opinions that make others believe similarly.
Vaccines are a place of huge debate upon Americans throughout the country. A main focus is around schools. Children attend school and have different health vaccines. Parents argue fairness when it comes to the different levels of vaccinations their children’s classmates have been given. If students are to be placed in a classroom together, parents shouldn’t have to worry about other kids’ vaccine status.
Since Covid-19, studies have shown a decline in the trustworthiness of childhood vaccines. This is due to the misinformation spread by public health officials and also possible disruptions in health.
Currently in the fall season, Flu shots are more vocalized. While entering the winter months, they bring various amounts of viruses. Local clinics like CVS or even your go to doctor can provide you or your family with the flu vaccine.
With time. comes changes in the health field. It is important to stay informed on changes that could affect you and your loved ones.
