New York fashion week happens twice a year in the months of February and September. The show includes presentations, runway shows, gatherings and parties. Over time, the location of the fashion week has changed. It used to be in one strict location, Bryant’s Parks Tents. Now, the fashion extravaganza is spread out over the city. 

Famous designers prepare for months for this moment. They create new and exciting looks for professional models, who show off their creations on the runway. During that time, people watching on the sides are able to observe and even occasionally purchase various outfits. 

Now that the week has passed, here is a summary of the greatest hits: 

A- list Celebrities, such as Pamela Anderson, Naomi Watts, and Olivia Munn gathered in the Big Apple to enjoy the fashion week events. 

The week began with an opening from Ralph Lauren’s Monochrome theme. His new collection was the debut of the Spring/ Summer collection that will be released in 2026. 

Calvin Klein’s models introduced a new take on their Y-front underwear which is shown by their new 2026 spring collection through a more lively way. 

Also, America’s famous drama from this summer, Love Island, featured a model in one of the fashion shows.   Olandira Carthen made her fashion debut at the Sergio Hudson show. Carthen was featured in the show in order to attract a new audience. Fans of the show may be more interested in the show and clothes when they see someone they admire walking on the runway. 

Fashion week comes with a huge economic benefit. The events spread out over New York generate about $900 million for New York’s wealth, surpassing the Super Bowl and the US Open.
