Each season of the year is special and different. At the same time, all four have their upsides and their flaws. Yet, only one season seems to stand out as the American favorite: Fall. If you googled the “most popular season”, fall will be the first thing you see. In fact, I couldn’t agree with Google more.
In my opinion, there’s no easier time than when it is autumn to pick out my outfits.
Ava Reed, a junior at GHS, claims “I like fall because it starts to cool down and it is not like 100 degrees everyday.” This is true and it allows many to rotate between sweater weather and a casual T-shirt. On top of that, puffy vests and fluffy Uggs are able to come back into the light and make their debuts again. Of course, the color schemes join them too: earth and jewel tones, neutral browns and grays, and etc. Plus, my favorite store, Dry Goods, hits its peak in the fall.
Let’s be honest, Halloween and Thanksgiving aren’t Christmas. Then again, Christmas isn’t Halloween or Thanksgiving. On the 31st, you can dress up as anything you desire and go have the best time of your life. Not only that, it’s a time to bond with family and friends. Then, when you think it’s over, you have another chance to do it all over again at Thanksgiving. This time, however, you can binge out on immaculate food. Nothing beats Thanksgiving food.
When it comes to sports, fall offers some of the most popular athletic seasons.
“There are lots of fun activities to participate in.” says Liana Beadling, a student from GHS. Those activities can include football, soccer, volleyball, and more. Even if you don’t play any of these autumn sports, you can still take part in the action. Football season is a great example of this: Students will dress up for their student sections and participate in fun chants. Even for Sunday football, fans will gather together to cheer on their favorite team, or just secure their bets.
