Halloween, one of the most anticipated holidays of the year, falls on Oct. 31 and continues to inspire countless companies to create themed products and promotions. From fast food chains to restaurants, businesses across the country are launching limited-edition treats and campaigns to celebrate the spooky season.
One of the most recognizable additions this year comes from Wendy’s. Known for its classic Frosty dessert, the chain has released a glow-in-the-dark collectible called “Frosty Frights.” The toy is included in the Wendy’s Kids’ Meal and combines the Frosty’s iconic image with Halloween fun.
Burger King has also joined the festivities with its new “Monster Menu.” The themed lineup features chicken nuggets shaped like bats and vampire fangs, mozzarella fries wrapped like mummies, a sundae with Oreos and popping candy, and an orange-bun Whopper made to resemble a pumpkin. In addition, Burger King has brought back its Halloween buckets after skipping them last year, giving them a fresh design for 2025.
At BJ’s Brewhouse, the restaurant’s signature dessert, the Pizookie, has been transformed into a Halloween edition called the “Spooky Pizookie.” This limited-time treat features an Oreo chocolate cookie base topped with orange-colored Oreo ice cream and chocolate sauce. “The Spooky Pizookie is a top-five dessert I’ve ever had,” said Connor Gorbach, ’26.
Cold Stone Creamery has also joined in with a seasonal ice cream flavor called “Boo Batter.” The treat features black cake batter ice cream mixed with Halloween Oreos, Kit Kats and M&M’s. “I haven’t had the Boo Batter, but I like Oreos and M&M’s, so I think it would be impossible to mess it up,” said Jack Embaugh, ’26.
From fast food chains to sit-down restaurants, businesses across America are competing to capture the Halloween spirit. Whether you crave a spooky dessert or a themed meal, October is full of creative, limited-time offerings that make celebrating the season a little sweeter.
