Business with Bradford
Alaina Bradford is not your typical GHS student. After interviewing her about extracurriculars and outside life, it can be seen that she is far from average. Bradford is an 11th-grade student at Green High School and has gone to Green since first grade.
“I remember it like it was yesterday. Walking into Mrs. Bonk’s class with new people surrounding me. I was excited, nervous, and anxious for what was to come,” said Bradford.
She began playing sports the first year she attended Green, taking part in basketball, soccer, swimming, and track. Bradford prioritizes track over her other sports.
“The adrenaline of waiting for the starter to shoot off makes track trump the rest of my sports,” exclaimed Bradford.
Bradford has done great things on the track. Last year, she attended regionals with her 4×200 team, finishing in third place. She is a sprinter, taking part in the 100 and 200-meter dash and relays. Bradford tried distance running, but realized it was not her cup of tea.
“I tried running the 1600 once. Let’s just say my inhaler was in my hand the majority of the race,” laughed Bradford.
Along with sports, Bradford also spends her free time hanging out with friends. She is friends with many people, but her best friends are Grant Price, Evan Raymond, Evan Muzi, Mallory Gearhart, and Gianna Swank.
“I love my friends, but sometimes they get on my nerves. Yeah, I’m talking about you Evan,” joked Bradford.
Her favorite thing to do with her friends is going out to eat. There are many places she enjoys, but Swensons takes the trophy for the best. Her favorite thing to eat there is a GalleyBoy with potato teasers and ranch.
“Nothing can top the OG’s and Swensons Ranch is top tier,” said Bradford.
Bradford plans to attend Florida University to major in BioChem; she would eventually like to go into the medical field and become an Anesthesiologist.
“I take academics very seriously. I am looking forward to my challenging, but rewarding, future,” claimed Bradford.
