Where Have You Bean?

The Human Bean opens after almost six months of anticipation, miscommunication, and dissatisfaction.

The Human Bean recently opened on Friday, Feb. 3, and had its grand opening on Feb. 25. Since people heard that the Human Bean was coming to Green months ago, it has been the new rave.  There is a Human Bean located in North Canton, so when word got out that it was coming to Green, there was nothing but excitement.

After months of people waiting for The Human Bean to open, it finally did. The Human Bean is the new hot coffee place and is the perfect place to go for a quick coffee. The Human Bean is a small little coffee place that is convenient for everyone. This coffee place has a great reputation for cheerful baristas and an exciting team ready to serve. Something the Human Bean does that is different from any other coffee place in town is that they put a chocolate-covered bean on every coffee. This feature is unlike other coffee places and makes getting your coffee a lot more enjoyable. This new place not only has a drive-through but also a walk-up ordering station for when it’s warmer outside. When asked, “What is your favorite drink to get from The Human Bean?”, senior Olivia Rutledge says, “The snowy mocha because it’s very smooth and creamy!”

The Human Bean does not just have coffee, it has multiple different drinks ranging from teas to smoothies. These drinks are not like any other drink, they are specially made. The Human Bean makes their coffee specialty-grade, smoothies made from real fruit, and whole-leaf tea. They also have many food items to choose from like muffins and bagels. For a medium mocha at the Human Bean, it is $5.25. For a medium mocha at Starbucks, it’s $5.65; at Dunkin’, it’s $3.59. Unfortunately, if looking for the cheapest coffee, head to Dunkin’ Donuts. But, if looking for coffee with a sweet treat on top, head to the local Human Bean.
