New Balances:
When thinking of New Balances, several different things come to mind. First off, people who wear New Balances are usually known to follow the trends. They are the first in line to purchase a new article of clothing or pair of shoes. Even though they enjoy following the trends, they don’t care about what other people think. They will wear their New Balances with every outfit and not have a care in the world about what people think about it. New Balance wearers are very down to earth and they are all about spending quality time with their friends.
Quote: “I don’t know about that, I wear New Balances quite often but I hate following new trends. I had them before they were a thing,” claimed Freshman Landyn Gearhart.
Smiley Face Slippers:
Smiley face slipper wearers are the type of people who will go out of their way to talk to everyone. They are social butterflies who are not confined to just one group of friends. They are the type of people who will go out in public and know at least three people in any place they visit. People who wear smiley face slippers have a warm personality. They love to hang out with their friends and will always be down for anything. You’re lucky to have a friend whose favorite shoes to wear are smiley face slippers.
Quote: “I do love hanging out with my friends,” Anna Pramuka said.
Converse:
People who wear Converse usually reflect a very down-to-earth personality. These people tend to be very easygoing and will get along with anyone. People who wear Converse usually show a balance of being social butterflies and spending time alone, all depending on their mood. Converse wearers tend to have one main group of friends but are open to expanding their social circles if they have the opportunity to. They enjoy spending quality time with their friends and family. These people also tend to care more about their academics and have a more focused outlook on life.
Quote: “I love my converse and I love spending quality time with people,” Senior Devyn Loveland said.
Slip-on Vans:
People who wear Slip-On Vans are very unique and exhibit a very dry sense of humor. You may think these people are being mean but in reality, they’re just messing around with you. These people are extremely sarcastic and have a great sense of humor. Slip-On Vans wearers may come off as intimidating at first, but once you get to know them, they’re kind-hearted individuals. These people would typically rather hang out with friends than be in any romantic relationship. People who wear this style of Vans most likely bought them in middle school when they were popular then gained an attachment to them and couldn’t bring themselves to stop wearing them.
Quote: “I do have a dry sense of humor, but for your information I bought these this year, I only wear them because they match with everything,” remarked Junior Ella Mattes.
Ugg Slippers:
Those who wear Ugg slippers, like New Balances, are often associated with the stereotype of being “basic” or following popular trends. These people most likely thought the slippers were ugly when they first came out, but when other people started buying them, they hopped on the bandwagon and became attached to the shoes. Ugg Slipper wearers tend to wear these shoes year-round, no matter the temperature outside. These people are most likely in a stable relationship and have the respect of their peers. These individuals appreciate receiving small gifts, like flowers or stuffed animals, as a way to show love and care toward them.
“You literally called me out,” Senior Gianna Swank said.
