Black Friday is a very popular time all over the world. Many people use Black Friday as a time to get Christmas shopping done in plenty of time for the holiday. Not to mention the amazing deals you could get when shopping at this time. Black Friday is on Friday, Nov. 24, but many stores are already putting out some good pre-Black Friday sales. These stores include Amazon, Target, Walmart, and many more.
Amazon is known to have one of the best pre-Black Friday sales that traditionally start on Nov. 1 and keep coming until Black Friday. You can save on anything from devices and electronics to toys and apparel.
Many people start their lists weeks before Black Friday shopping in order to get everything they want or were looking for. Everyone has that one thing they hope and desire to receive for Christmas, and some go shopping for it on Black Friday in hopes they get it at a good deal.
“I love going Black Friday shopping and I go every year with my family. The first thing on my list is Nike sweatpants,” Giuseppe Spano ‘27 said.
There are also people that don’t have a desire to go fight the crowds on Black Friday, but still have items they want. They might go at a different time, like before or after Black Friday because some stores still have sales after and before. Some people might do online shopping, instead of going to the store.
“I don’t have a list yet and I don’t know if I’m for sure going Black Friday shopping, but the first thing on my list would be the Madhappy Ultra Mini UGG boots in the light brown color,” Madysen Kerley ‘26 said.
Cyber Monday allows the shoppers who prefer to stay at home rather than wait in long lines and a rush of people to still receive the deals.
“I don’t really like to go in person shopping and I would rather do it online, so that is probably what I will do this Black Friday. The first thing on my list is a curling iron from Target,” Lauren Parrish, a citizen of Green said.
Target is giving great sales that have already started, and they come out with new sales each week. Right now, they have a sale that includes 50% off Beats Headphones, 40% off laptops, and you could save up to $180 depending on what you are looking for. Walmart is also giving a sale with 40% off fashion, 30% off patio “faves”, and 45% off pet gear. The stores change their sales almost every week, and most of them get better as Black Friday approaches.
