The holiday season can cause stress to some. More specifically, many people stress about gift giving. Thinking of the perfect gift for someone is never easy. Here are some ideas to make the holidays less stressful. Let this gift guide be a navigation to discover the perfect gifts for everyone.
Parents will always say they want nothing but there is always the guilt to get them a gift. An easy way to go is getting a gift that could benefit two parents. This could be a gift card to their favorite restaurant or even a snack basket with a movie they can enjoy. Individually buying gifts can be more complicated. With a dad, nine out of ten times anything golf related will be perfect. Clothes of their favorite sports team, snacks or slippers are an easy and secure gift to give. Moms can be a bit more picky. Self care, like soaps, perfume, candles and lotions are easy and basic gifts. Sometimes a mom will want the most random stuff because she would have bought it anyways. This could be picture frames, pillows, sheets, books, etc. It may seem like getting a mom something so random is a lousy gift, but deep down they greatly appreciate it.
Siblings are probably the easiest to shop for. They usually don’t need a gift with much effort in it. Some easy gifts would be pjs, clothes, games, food and gift cards. More expensive can be insulated water bottles (like Stanleys, Hydro Flask, Yeti), blankets or specific items they want are a great way to go. Brothers are typically more into wanting gifts that reflect their hobbies. This could be sports, games, etc. Athletic wear or items for their sport is always a great gift. Even just gift cards to fast food will never go wrong. Sisters can be a bit more complicated. Simple gifts could be cozy items, like blankets, pjs and socks. Going for more expensive gifts would be makeup, clothes, jewelry and other accessories.
Significant others can be the hardest people to shop for. Some gifts that guys love are clothes or shoes from their favorite brands, cologne, anything regarding their hobbies, favorite snacks and drinks, gift cards and anything personalized. More specifically, get something she thinks is “cute”. This could be clothes, jewelry, a stuffed animal, a cup or even the most random thing at Target. On top of this, pick something she would truly love. The thought and effort put into the gift already means so much. Boyfriends are truly still like little kids. Legos are always a perfect way to go. Anything that is their favorite, like food or clothes, will always be an easy but appreciated gift.
As the gift giving season, hopefully this guide will provide help with figuring what to get for others. Not every person will like the same stuff so just remember that effort and time put into this season can be the greatest gift!
