It is very hard for some people, (me) to survive a school day without caffeine. This means I am constantly looking for new coffee chains to try. Since 7 Brew is quickly becoming one of the most popular coffee chains, I decided to try it out.
7 Brew differs from other coffee shops, such as Starbucks and Dunkin, due to their peculiar menu. A few examples of these flavors are Cinnamon Roll, Sweet and Salty, and German Chocolate flavored iced coffees. You can request to get any of these iced coffees sugar free. For those who do not like these flavors, they have classic coffees such as lattes, mochas, and cappuccinos.
Not only do they have coffee, but they also have a variety of energy drinks in any flavor. Some of their popular energy drink flavors include Ocean Breeze, Sunrise, Nightshade, and Pixie Stick. Additionally, they have teas, lemonades, and 7 Fizz, which is sparkling water that can be infused in any flavor.
The first coffee I tried was the Blondie, which is a vanilla and caramel breve. This coffee was good, but it did not stick out to me. The flavor was extremely ordinary, and I definitely tasted more of the vanilla flavor, and did not really taste the caramel. I would recommend this to someone that likes coffee that is not too sweet. The only thing I really liked about this coffee is that it actually had a strong coffee flavor, unlike the other drinks I tried. With that being said, this was a 4/5.
The next coffee I tried was a Sweet & Salty, which is salted caramel and white chocolate breve. This was by far the best coffee I tried. I am a bit biased because I love pretty much any sweet and salty combo, but this coffee was the best I have had in a while. With every sip you can taste both the caramel and the white chocolate, and it makes for the perfect sweet and salty drink. Additionally, I am not aware of any other coffee shops that curate this combo, so a bonus point there for creativity and exclusivity. I would 100% order this again so for that reason, this drink gets a 5/5.
The last coffee I tried was a White Chocolate iced mocha and this time I ordered the cold foam to try. Something to note is that the cold foam melts within 15 minutes, so I say skip getting this if you are like me and take the entirety of the day to finish your coffee. The drink definitely did taste like white chocolate, but you do not get much of the coffee flavor. I would recommend this if you like really sweet coffee that has little to no coffee flavor. I personally would not order this again, but my little sister enjoyed it. Overall, I would give this a 3/5.
To conclude, I would recommend trying this coffee shop. It is about 15 minutes away from Green High School and it is definitely worth the drive. The drinks are made and ready minutes after ordering, so it is very convenient to get before the school day begins.
