Many people are talking about the popular new Starbucks drink called The Cannon Ball. For just $5.75, you can get a large size of this drink to help start your day off right. The Cannon Ball is a mix of two very popular Starbucks refreshers: the Strawberry Açaí Refresher and the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher. When these two drinks are combined, they create a very eye-catching pink and purple refresher topped with dried dragonfruit and dried strawberries. Because of its bright colors and fruity flavor, the drink has quickly gained attention both online and in schools.
The Cannon Ball drink was created by MrBeast to promote the second season of his show, Beast Games. Since MrBeast is extremely popular among teens, it is no surprise that many Green High School students were excited to try the drink. Starbucks is already a popular stop for students before school, and this limited-time collaboration made the drink even more appealing.
When sophomore McKinley Budd was asked about her opinion on the Cannon Ball, she said, “It’s a ten out of ten. It’s very sweet, so don’t get it if you don’t like sweet things.” Senior Ava Betz also shared her thoughts, saying, “I would say it is a great mixture of both refreshers, and the drink makes a good start to my day.” These opinions show that many students enjoy both the flavor and the energy boost the drink provides in the morning.
However, not all feedback has been completely positive. When sophomore Olivia Estes was asked if she tried the drink, she said, “Yes, it was good. But the next morning I woke up with an insufferable migraine.” While the migraine could have been caused by many different factors, including caffeine or sugar intake, it is still worth noting. Despite this, Olivia did say that she enjoyed the taste of the drink overall.
Even though it’s winter, the Cannon Ball gives off a strong summer vibe, which is something many people crave during this colder and more depressing time of year. If you’re looking for something fun, colorful, and new to try before school, the Cannon Ball drink is definitely worth checking out.
