On Sunday, November 16, 2025 the rookie quarterback for the Cleveland Browns got his first debut against the Baltimore Ravens. Shedur Sanders was put into the game during the second half after the starting quarterback, Dillion Gabriel sustained a head injury. Unfortunately, Sanders didn’t do too hot. He was sacked twice and threw one interception and went 4 of 16 passing for 47 yards. While Gabriel, who is also a rookie, completed 7 of 10 passes for 68 yards but could only play one half due to a concussion. Going into halftime the Browns were leading 16-10. However they ended up losing 16-23, but who is really surprised by that.
According to head coach Kevin Stefanski, if Gabriel is cleared to play by Sunday for their next game against the Las Vegas Raiders he will get the starting position, if not it will go to Sanders causing him to make his first NFL start.
Fans are very upset with the Browns. Not only have they had a rough season so far with their record now being 2-8 after losing to the Ravens, but fans believe that Sanders wasn’t properly ready or prepared to play in this division game. Fans believe that Sanders was not prepared because he had a poor performance and because he had never played with the starting offensive line until game time. Lets just hope that if he ends up starting on Sunday he will be more prepared and the Browns will come out with a victory.
