Released on October 18th, 2019, Idina Menzel’s Christmas: A Season Of Love is an album that captures the spirit, romance and warmth of the holiday season. The playlist contains 18 tracks and is about 55 minutes long. Each song follows a different genre, from poppy jazz to soft ballads. Some of the more notable tracks are “Sleigh Ride,” “We Need a Little Christmas,” “Seasons of Love” and “Christmas Time Is Here.” Idina Menzel even includes two unique Hanukkah songs: “Walker’s 3rd Hanukkah” and “Ocho Kandelikas.” 

For anyone who is a Frozen fan, Elsa is not the only one who sings on Christmas: A Season Of Love. Josh Gad, who is the voice of Olaf, is featured in the song “We Wish You The Merriest.” His giddiness adds a warm and happy tone to the song. In addition, Billy Porter and Aaron Lohr are also featured in this album. Also, in the track titled “A Hand for Mrs. Claus,” Idina Menzel collaborates with the iconic pop star, Ariana Grande.

Idina Menzel’s musical theater and professional vocal experience top the album off perfectly. In fact, the agility of her voice makes the music more than just ‘another Christmas album.’ The second the calendar rolls into December, it is the Season Of Love.
