Alex Warren first began releasing music in 2021 with his first song, “One More I Love You,” a song about his parents. While this wasn’t his first time in the public eye, the song didn’t blow up as quickly as others tend to at first. Warren released songs in 2021, 2022, and 2023 but it wasn’t until his September 2024 single “Burning Down” that his music appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Before Alex Warren began releasing music, he started out on YouTube when he was only 10. In May 2015, he shifted his focus to content on Instagram. While he was still a very small creator, he began to rise to fame when he co-founded the TikTok famous “Hype House,” which gained him 600,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and 3.8 million followers on his TikTok account. The Hype House continued to grow his following from 2019-2022, when he left.
A lot of his followers loved his dark humor surrounding the deaths of his parents when he was very young and enjoyed his relationship with his now wife Kovur. The songs he has released stay true to his brand, relating to both his love for his wife and his feelings about his parents passing away while he was so young.
Warren has described being inspired by Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes to create and release music. This inspiration led him to release his first song in June 2021, “One More I Love You,” which he had started writing at 13 years old about his father’s passing. He released two more songs before signing with Atlantic Records in August of 2022.
Alex continued to release music and grow in popularity slowly. He would tour small venues with his friends and wife’s support. In 2025, he released his most popular song with over 1 billion streams “Ordinary.” The song blew up on TikTok and was also featured in “Love Is Blind,” which increased popularity. “Ordinary” peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and also topped the charts in several other countries worldwide, including Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
In 2025, Alex Warren won MTV’s Best New Artist award for “Ordinary,” and in 2026, He performed “Ordinary” at the Grammys. His skyrocketing popularity from “Ordinary” has led him to his 16 million followers on TikTok, 6 million on Instagram, 4.5 million on YouTube, and over 52.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
While Alex’s road to stardom started slow and took a lot of time and hard work, it all has paid off. He continues to grow as he releases more music and has a 2026 tour that has sold out most cities. He’s coming to Cleveland on June 27th, 2026, if you wanna see want all the hype is about!
