When you hear the word Mr. Beast, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Money? If so, that’s no surprise. Mr. Beast spent over 100 million dollars for the production of season 2 of Beast Games and gave out over 11 million to the players who participated. This money is well spent and an amazing show that’ll keep you at the edge of your seat.
Season 2 of Beast Games is similar to season 1 with constants competing for 5 million dollars. What makes this show different from any other reality show is the extent of how big and intricate it is. Contestants that make it to the top 100 live in a whole city with free Starbucks, a weight room, and a bunch of other amenities. A whole island is won by a player and many surprise guests that you wouldn’t see coming.
On top of the whole premise of winning the money, this season also included a whole love plot, as 2 contestants who met on the show are dating (and as of now, still happily together!). At first, I thought it was silly and it was to keep the rom-con fanatics engaged, but as the episode goes on, seeing how they work together and the insane decisions they make for each other will leave you speechless.
Not to mention the games are extremely entertaining. Many of the beloved intense games from the prior season made an appearance in season 2 which I loved because it was familiar, but felt fresh with the new contestants. Some of my favorite games were when the top ten contestants would choose how much to get from $1,000,000. The idea is that everyone would take $100,000 and seeing what actually plays out during that game will just cause a plethora of emotions. Season 2 had me rooting for so many different people than I did when I watched season 1. At the same time, it was so satisfying to see people I didn’t like get out.
As the episodes progress, the ending gets more intense. Jimmy Donaldson really does know how to make a great cliffhanger, as each episode ends with you wanting more and seeing what happens next. So, if you want a new show to binge with all the episodes out, watch Beast Games season 2 because it will not disappoint.
